Google to Launch Pixel 10 Series on August 20

Google is set to unveil its latest Pixel smartphones at an event scheduled for Wednesday, August 20.

The new Pixel lineup will include four devices: the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and the foldable Pixel 10 Pro Fold. The Pixel 10 Pro Fold is expected to be less thin and light than Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold7, but it may introduce improved durability with an IP68 water and dust resistance rating—surpassing the Z Fold7’s IP48 rating.

While design changes across the lineup are minimal, the foldable model is expected to feature a slightly larger and brighter display, along with a larger battery for modest improvements in battery life. All four models will be powered by Google’s new 3-nanometer Tensor G5 chip, manufactured by TSMC. This's a shift from the previous generation, which was produced by Samsung, and is expected to yield significant performance and efficiency gains.

The Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, and Pixel 10 Pro XL will retain a design similar to last year's models. Alongside the hardware, Google is also expected to introduce new AI-driven features, particularly in the area of photo editing.

The Pixel 10 series will compete directly with Apple’s upcoming iPhone 17 lineup. However, Apple is not expected to release a foldable iPhone until at least next year.
